Retro means old but cool.

I grew up with the Commodore C64 but was never able to master the machine. I was young, I wanted to play the latest games and let other people do the pioneer work on exploring this incredible hardware. Today I have better skills to catch up on what it takes to code the C64. I will share what I learn along the way. Enjoy the trip to the past!

Expect the Unexpected

If you have wondered why there was no activity in the last few weeks on dustlayer.com regardless of the frequent updates done before: I lost my regular job when I returned from the United States early June.  

Yes, life is hard sometimes and since it came a bit by surprise I had to quickly focus on exploring options what to do next. 

The good news is that a plan has been laid out and I look forward to start a new venture soon. This demands some extra weeks away from  C64 coding but don't worry - I will be back as soon as things have gone back to normal working hours. 

So that's it - short and crisp.
